Can we really get “affordable” healthcare?

I would like to talk about the word affordable. It’s a word used so much that it’s in the title of the bill which created Obamacare—the Affordable Care Act.  But how can any health plan be affordable when you have an insurance industry that is unethical and corrupt?

Insurance companies use your insurance premiums to pay lobbyists who then pressure politicians. These same companies also use your money to pay other doctors to deny recommended procedures, so the insurance company doesn’t have to pay for its own subscribers.

We can’t forget the filthy amount of money insurance companies make in profits: $254,000 a day! How can anything be affordable to the people when these companies make this kind of money? Until this change, healthcare will never be affordable!

We can all sit here and watch Washington chase their tails discussing “affordable healthcare”. But the real question is what will our lawmakers do about it?
